Odíhg Hùshniv (/hʊʃ/ /teʤ/ [puppet] [gray]) is a subtropical Town located in the Vātuchàjù Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Odíhg Hùshniv is derived from the Tauric language, as Odíhg Hùshniv was founded by Shèqtco Hughankland, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Odíhg Hùshniv has a yearly average temperature of 21°C (69°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a pleasant 24°C (75°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 18°C (64°F). Odíhg Hùshniv receives an average of 288 cm/y (113 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Odíhg Hùshniv covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2850 m (9350 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Odíhg Hùshniv was founded durring the early 11th century, by Shèqtco Hughankland. The establishment of Odíhg Hùshniv was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Odíhg Hùshniv's construction back out of the project. Shèqtco Hughankland pushed on reguardles, and Odíhg Hùshniv was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Odíhg Hùshniv was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Odíhg Hùshniv is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Odíhg Hùshniv is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of narrow carved bedrock streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town has a defencive wall made from querried stone. The wall is equipped with a full set of battlments but the nature of its construction methodology leaves it somewhat vulnerable to siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. The town's cost-cutting-focused defences have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

Odíhg Hùshniv has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Odíhg Hùshniv’s streets.

Civic Infrastructure

Odíhg Hùshniv has an animal control department which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the control, impoundment, and disposition of animals.

Odíhg Hùshniv has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Odíhg Hùshniv. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Odíhg Hùshniv's parks.

Odíhg Hùshniv possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Odíhg Hùshniv has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Odíhg Hùshniv's natural decorations nor waterways.

Odíhg Hùshniv has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

While Odíhg Hùshniv might ostensibly be ruled by some other power, real control lies with the senior members of the local craft and labor guilds. Their decisions have the practical weight of law, and much of their time and effort is spent squeezing out competitors and parceling out economic opportunities in the community. Some guilds might have little or nothing to do with their original trade, and now exist purely as shells for political influence.

Odíhg Hùshniv's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is based upon new and innovative technologies of construction and the idea that form should follow function. It was an embrace of minimalism and a rejection of ornament. The style became characterized by an emphasis on volume, asymmetrical compositions, and minimal ornamentation..

Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is recurring in Odíhg Hùshniv.

Odíhg Hùshniv's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves consuming a local toxin to channel Mysticism energies of tier 1 via oratory performances.
